Dedicated volunteers deliver hot, nutritious noon meals right to your home. Therapeutic diets can be accommodated. Meals are available up to four times a week; nominal fees apply.

Friendly, skilled volunteer drivers use their own vehicles to provide safe, escorted rides to medical, dental or therapy appointments. Rides may be long distance or local. Individuals who qualify for this service are responsible for cost recovery for the volunteer driver.

A support service that arranges for a brokered worker or local company to provide home maintenance and repair or provide home helpers to assist with household activities. Fees vary and are arranged between worker and client.

Friendly Visiting
A volunteer regularly visits clients in their homes, providing friendship and support, as well as checking on their health and safety. The volunteer may read, write letters, chat, play games, take a walk, or assist with an activity of daily living.
Telephone Reassurance and Security Check
Regular telephone contact provides friendship, support and reassurance to persons’ who are housebound or isolated from friends and family. Volunteers are arranged on a short or long term basis and the frequency of contact is personalized to suit the situation.
Therapeutic Activity Program
Enjoy an afternoon of therapeutic activities and social interaction in a group setting for eligible clients, to assist them in achieving and maintaining their maximum level of function. Weekly activities may include games, lunches, modified exercise, education and entertainment. Transportation may be arranged.

Enjoy a hot and delicious dinner and a short social program at a local venue. This is a great way to renew old friendships and/or make new acquaintances. Call for dates, times, and locations of upcoming meals. Volunteer transportation may be arranged; a nominal cost applies.

Our client assistance support service provides advocacy in critical situations (risk of homelessness, abuse, isolation, etc.); the client’s situation is stabilized and a follow-up plan is established.

Professional footcare by a qualified nurse. This includes a general health assessment, the trimming of nails, scaling of corns and specific diabetic foot care.  There is a nominal fee for this service.

This service consists of the 55 Alive Driver Refresher Course designed to help older drivers refresh their knowledge and maintain their independence and driving privileges. Course are offered at various times throughout the year. There is a nominal fee for this service.
